Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Vela account or using any Vela service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use Vela.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FAST Funding Analysis & Strategy Technology LLC ("Vela," "we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware limited liability company.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Vela. Vela is currently available to residents of the United States only.

What Vela Is — And Is Not

Vela is a financial intelligence platform that reads and analyzes financial documents and account data you provide, generates analytical insights based on your financial data and historical patterns, models the financial consequences of different scenarios and choices, and shows you what your current financial trajectory produces and what changes would produce.

3.3 The Nature of Vela's Insights

Vela's analytical perspectives — Alex, Morgan, Jordan, Sam, and Riley — are AI-powered analytical intelligences, not licensed human professionals. They provide data-driven analysis, scenario modeling, and educational context. They do not provide personalized financial, tax, legal, insurance, or investment advice.

You remain in control of all decisions. Vela shows you what happens. You decide what to do.

3.4 Consult Professionals

For personalized advice about your specific situation, consult qualified licensed professionals: a CFP® for financial planning, a CPA for tax advice, a licensed attorney for legal and estate planning, a licensed insurance professional for insurance decisions, and a registered investment advisor for investment advice. Vela may surface opportunities or gaps that are worth discussing with these professionals. That is the intended use.

Your Account

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone.

Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

Each individual may maintain only one Vela account.

Subscription and Payment

Vela offers paid subscription plans. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

All subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as we determine in exceptional circumstances.

Your Data and Content

You retain ownership of all financial data, documents, and information you provide to Vela. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By using Vela, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to access, process, analyze, and store your content for the sole purpose of providing the Vela service to you. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.

Vela's analytical outputs are generated by AI systems based on the data you provide. They may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should independently verify any significant financial, tax, legal, or insurance information before relying on it.

Plaid Integration

If you connect financial accounts using Plaid, you authorize Vela to access your financial account data through Plaid's services. Vela has read-only access to your account data — we cannot initiate transactions or move funds. You may revoke this authorization at any time through your account settings or at my.plaid.com.

Support Circle

As a primary Vela user, you may invite other individuals ("Supporters") to view certain aspects of your financial health. By inviting a Supporter, you consent to sharing the specified information with that individual and acknowledge that you are making this decision freely.

As a Supporter, you may access only the information the primary user has explicitly shared with you, must maintain its confidentiality, and understand that your access may be revoked at any time.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use Vela to violate any applicable law, provide false information to generate inaccurate analyses, access another person's financial data without their consent, attempt to reverse engineer Vela's models, scrape or systematically extract data, use Vela's outputs to build a competing product, or share your account credentials with others.

Intellectual Property

Vela and all of its components — including the software, algorithms, analytical models, design, user interface, trademarks, and content — are owned by Vela or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Services

Vela integrates with third-party services including Plaid, Stripe, OpenAI, and Amazon Web Services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

Limitation of Liability

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vela, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from any claim, liability, damage, loss, cost, or expense arising from your use of Vela, your violation of these Terms, or any content or information you provide to Vela.

Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting [email protected].

If informal resolution fails, you agree that any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration. Class action waiver: You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware.

Termination

You may close your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, conduct that harms other users, non-payment, or extended inactivity.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by displaying a notice in the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
